Artist's Comments

Third of 4 abstract photos of fire. Something has always appealed to me about the movement of flames and the nature of carbonized matter and embers.

Backstory: 3 years of old family documents to burn. Shredder is too slow, so one fire and a couple of hours later, about half of the papers were gone. Along the way, I captured a number of images of the flames, but here are some of the best.

Adjustments: Reduced the brightness slightly to darken the background.

Wow, I really like this. I love fire, they give you the best pictures sometimes. ^^; I really love how this one turned out, but I will have to look at the rest of the series, to truly see, yar? :D Nice job, what a mere chore can turn into. ;)

Thanks! (The rest of the series now has links back and forth...to make things a bit easier). I'm glad you've enjoyed it.

PS Did you see the featured deviation from yesterday of the firebreather?
If not, you should definitely check it out: [link]

Woow, no I did not see that, but now I did, and that is freaking awesome. Thanks for showing me that. :D

Also, I like all your fire pictures, but I would have to say, this one is my favorite. No idea why. o.o I am just drawn to it more. ^^;
